Beyonce Prepares for Revel

I'm not the most supreme of Beyonce fans but I do respect her abilities. Despite who I do and don't like though, the one thing that is universally respected is work ethic. In this video, we get a glimpse into the preparation that went into her 3 day show at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City. Kudos to her and her team. I know she'd going to put on one hell of a performance.

Now, a mining company is drilling around the clock to determine how to get those metals out. In neighboring Dominican Republic, workers are poised to start mining the other side of this seam later this year in one of the world’s largest gold deposits: 23 million ounces worth about $40 billion.

Made In America

After Roc Nation issued a press release stating that Jay-Z will make an announcement with the mayor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania tomorrow, New York Times' Arts Beat blog has broken the news ahead of schedule. Hov is expected to announce that he will both curate and star in the first Budweiser Made in America music festival, a two-day event that will feature at least 28 musical acts to Fairmount Park on September 1st and 2nd. The festival will be produced by Live Nation and feature an eclectic lineup of "rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and dance" musicians. Portions from ticket sales will benefit local non-profits through United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Tickets will be available on ticketmaster.com and livenation.com on May 23rd.
